Let light
describe the person.

Side light traces the forehead, shoulder and raised arm. Luminous satin meets dark timber; the curve of the arm leads the eye back to the face. A slight turn gives direction to the stillness.

Texture lives in the transition between light and shade. Close views draw attention to the eyes; wider compositions reveal posture and the character of the setting.
